Holidays such as Christmas, Halloween and Valentines Day are not present in Animal Crossing: Wild world. However, there are plenty of events to keep you busy through the year. A huge part of Animal Crossing's uniqueness is the function that allows certain events to happen at certain days or weeks in the year. The year calendar is a loop, so 2006's year is the same as 2007's.
This is how the information for each holiday or event will be displayed:
- When
- When the holiday or event will take place, regardless of year.
- Duration
- How long the holiday or event will last.
- Mayor
- Whether you can talk to Tortimer outside the town hall
- Gift
- Whether you can receive a gift for this holiday or events.

Animals will also come to visit your house and will want to buy some of your items. They will stay in your main room and will not enter any other rooms. It is a good idea to prepare for the Flea Market by removing items you wish to keep and replacing them with items you’d like to sell. It is best to do this the day before the market. Depending on your friendship with a certain animal they may pay up to 3 times what Nook pays for an item. If done properly this can make you a lot of money. Each animal will only visit once and animals that are sick or are packed up will not participate. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
